Come on if you got axed for letting your younger team mate outshine you. then there should be a whole lot of people that should be looking for new work. Or at least a new ride that is.

How is it that this guy can consitently put his big foot in his mouth. No one says that you must be politically correct in your thought but damn. If I were Max I would be trying to get Bernie to stop helping me. I don't know that I would want to be lumped in with Adolph Hitler Saddam Hussein and the Taliban.

let me see if I have got this straight. Now that the ruckus has finally died down. this guy is pouring gasoline on the fire once again. We all know that a lot of less than complimentary comments were made in the press by both sides. But to jepordize the sport because one man felt bad about his negative press. Good riddance Max!

spade

For my money I think that both sides are in the wrong in this. Or at least going about this all wrong. All of this grandstanding in the press is doing nothing but driving them further and further from some kind of agreement. When you get right down to it The FIA is behaving like a dictatorship, and FOTA and their ultimatums aren't helping matters either. The worst part of it all is the only people who will really suffer are the fans.

Well we all knew that it was coming. The politicking and shenanigans that have been going on for the last couple of years have finally come home to roost. Cheap money grubbing will finally do what it always does; destroy innovation and beauty. Formula 1 will be a sad sad place without Ferrari Renault, and Toyota. I know many teams and manufacturers have left over the years but never this way. Not in mass protest.

spade
Posted 16/05/2009 @ 19:36

Now I am the first to admit the man seem to be a complainer from the old school. But what else is he going to do he certainly can't hold himself responsible for Renault's woes right?. It has been a few years since Renault was a serious contender, and the diffuser issue wasn't the reason then as it is not now. His complaining is what makes his team weak. From the top down they are so busy blaming others that they are not getting down to what the real problem is.

That was a good one Cam!

I don't get it. Will anything make this guy happy. His Kers system seems to be working just fine at least it was yesterday.

spade
Posted 01/04/2009 @ 18:47

you all seem surprised by this come on the Stewards have been getting more and more cowardly over the last couple of seasons. No one likes to see smash ups but these things happen.

spade

I have to agree what ever problems that Mclaren may be experiencing now wont last long. and to be perfectly honest I wasn't happy with the changes to aerodynamics this year

spade
Posted 23/03/2009 @ 10:46

I suppose that I could understand, but under the circumstances with all of the changes that have been incorporated this year it just doesn't seem wise.

spade
Posted 06/03/2009 @ 07:38

I am glad that the team will survive but I don't know about the driver line up

spade
Posted 18/02/2009 @ 10:58

This seems to be the answer to Honda's troubles. Now all we have to do is wait and see if this deal falls through too.

spade
Posted 12/02/2009 @ 15:14

Isn't that just a bit unfair. Of course he wants more track time he obviously needs it more than Alonso, Who I might add is only waiting until he can leave Renault in the lurch and move to Ferrari. Then perhaps all they will have is the"trained monkey". Don't get me wrong given the choice who wouldn't want to be tooling around tracks in a Ferrari. Though to be perfectly honest I cannot see Alonso and Ferrari coming to any sort of agreement.

spade
Posted 12/02/2009 @ 15:03

Well as much as we would like it to be otherwise this is a business. If there was a significant difference between what each driver is bringing to the table as far as funding then you can see where the chips would fall. I would have liked to see Sato back on the grid, unfortunately that is just the way the cookie crumbles.

I am an American but something sounds fishy about this. I don't really see anyone sinking the money that F1 requires into a team from the ground up. Like most people I would rather see Honda saved from the scrap heap than someone starting a team that cannot last.

spade
Posted 17/01/2009 @ 16:28

Well all of the cars from the past that were mentioned are and were pretty bad. That being said I wanted to gouge my eyes out by the end of this week. They say that form follows function if that is the case the function of these "cars" must be to destroy F1 viewership. I couldn't stand the cars of the late 90's either and I pretty much stopped watching.

I don't know if greed is the right term for what is going on. Just getting your team to and from the the tracks must be something of a monumental undertaking. Development, we all know pretty much what the teams spend on that. These are things that you kind of have to spend money on. My question is where does the rest of the money go?. I believe that what needs to happen is that the "front office" aspects need to be cut down.

spade
Posted 05/12/2008 @ 18:51

Well this is too bad I enjoyed watching Honda compete. Honda has always been one of my favorite automobile manufacturers. Now with Super Aguri gone as well there is no representation on the grid. It is a sad day indeed. Now we are probably going to have to hear Bernie crow about his cost cutting measures.

spade
Posted 02/12/2008 @ 05:37

BMW will be a strong force next year that is for sure. I think the they will end up being considered a first tier team along with the heavy hitters. all they really need is more consistency from Nick and Robert

spade
Posted 02/12/2008 @ 05:33

Personally it would seem that the only people that are not getting any money are the people that you cant have a race without. How can you have a race without a track. Something must be done. WE are going to be down to a ten race season soon I guess that is one way to cut costs

spade
Posted 27/11/2008 @ 07:49

Finally some sense. There have been nothing but changes for the past couple of years. Few of them worth the paper they we wrote on. Cost cutting I can understand if for no other reason than to keep the smaller teams on the grid, But the rest of this crap? I don't get It.

spade
Posted 24/11/2008 @ 19:02

You know I am starting to get sick and tired of Bernie. It seems like every week someone else is getting kicked to the curb. We are probably going to lose some of the most enjoyable tracks to watch next year. For my money there weren't enough races on the calender this year. I like the thought of a long and arduous season that shows the mettle of the teams.

spade
Posted 24/11/2008 @ 18:47

Look I am as happy for Lewis as he probably is himself. I was as bitter as an under ripe lemon last year when he lost. But a stamp? I could see if it was in America they will put you on a stamp at the drop of a hat here. I guess I just thought more of the British sense of propriety. Maybe as a reward for a Magnificent run of championships, but the first time out of the gate. Give the man the chance to show that he is more than a flash in the pan one "hit" wonder before you start putting the man in the mail

spade
Posted 24/11/2008 @ 18:40

Now I have nothing but respect for Takuma Sato and would like nothing better to see him back in formula 1 I don't think that Sebastien should get the boot. The difference between where he was and where he is now shows that he has the will to compete in the cut throat world of formula 1. I don't think that Red bull is all that anyway. At best they are a third tier bunch that could do a lot worse.

spade
Posted 20/11/2008 @ 05:03

I have got to say it is not as if Sato lost his ride due to driver mistakes. I was kid of upset about the way that things shook out for the whole team I would like to see the man back behind the wheel. There are certainly worse drivers floating around Formula 1

spade
Posted 19/11/2008 @ 05:48

Is this guy on drugs? good lord. It is like he has lost his ever loving mind. What ever happened to if it is not broke don't fix it. Medals, Lost races, Engines made by people other than the teams. If I wanted to watch racing like that I would watch the I.R.L. This is Formula one We need to stop the madness.

spade
Posted 16/11/2008 @ 10:10

It was only a matter of time. I don't know what to say. Shanghai is one of my favorite tracks well maybe not but it is a good venue. For every cost cutting measure that is passed down like some kind of edict from "God" it seems like more and more of the people that make formula one happen are driven away. If something isn't done 2010 could be the worst year for Formula one in, Well ever.

spade
Posted 16/11/2008 @ 10:02

I like Ferrari as much as the next guy but this whole butter wont melt in my mouth Ferrari attitude that seems to be going around is quite annoying. As for Jenson yes his year was less than spectacular, but to be perfectly honest that could be said of a lot of people. There are a lot of people that should be hanging on for dear life to keep the seats that they have.

spade
Posted 12/11/2008 @ 15:58

Well to be perfectly honest I wasn't really impressed with Bourdais performance this year. I just dont think that STR is going to throw together a whole new slate of drivers to start the season

spade
Posted 12/11/2008 @ 15:52

well I was happier with him at Toro Rosso I think when all is said and dine that he will be as well. As far as performance goes Red Bull hasn't impressed me, and i don't see this changing in the near future. I know that he had to go somewhere but this isn't the place.
