yes it sure is amazing. he is the luckiest driver in F1 but it will surely run out. reality is ferrari are still .4 sec faster so he did not deserve to win either race

I'm with you mossmusic. I was never a fan of Alonso - hated the way he complained about Renault not developing the car in 05 and 06 during the actual season (seem to remember him accusing the team of wanting to 'give away' the championship in his last year there as Ferrari's challenge grew). As for the year at McLaren ... But it's been so great to see him win again, and such a surprise. Bravo, Fernando. It's almost as if a year in a second-tier team has led to some serious character building. (Wish they'd put Hamilton in a Force India, then.)

this proves to everybody that fernando alonso has no equal in formula 1 right now!!! he is the guy next to michael schumacher in terms of driving talent and technical expertise...he showed the world why he was a double world champion...he is elevating the renault team to the same heights they enjoyed in 2005-06! go fernando "alo" alonso!!! may a it a hat-trick of wins in shanghai!!! good luck and more power!!!

Well done Fernando. I loved watching him win with Renault before and hated his attitude in his McLaren stint but it was good to see him win two in a row and show the world how good he really is without the petulance.

Alonso deserved to win this one also. He kept his nose clean and dominated! I am not a fan of his, but he really did well the last two races, I hope it shows a resurgence from Renault and he stays there next season to give us 4 teams challenging for the title. They need to get rid of Piquet. He needs 5 more years of GP2.

I'm no Alonso-lover, but today's drive was magnificent. He astutely driven with short middle stint since he by then knew there were only two cars to contend with, all others being more of mid-field cars with 1 stop strategy. His driving was well within the abilities of his car. No wonder he's been a double world champion.
