Dieter Graumann, the vice president of Germany's Central Council of Jews, seemed to accept Ecclestone's attempt at an apology. "If Ecclestone says he was an idiot, I will certainly not contradict him," he is quoted in the Handesblatt daily. 'nuff said.....

Take Bernie on a tour of the camps in germany and poland and let him see just how efficient his idol was.

Forget about boycotting the German GP. Instead, boycott F1 and those two dotty old farts Bernie and Max. Let's have Formula FOTA for 2010, and Bernie and Max will take their rightful places as the biggest egomanical buffoons in sport.

Dr Mario waited a long time to denounce Bernie. It was Bernie's so-called apology, where he slamed the World Jewish Council and made other disgusting remarks that really fueled this fire. It boiled over into the main-stream news, not the tiny world of F1 enthusiests. Who knows how many angry e-mails BMW has received begging them to boycott the German grand prix ? The pressure was building for Dr Mario to say something.

Yet again an article describing Bernie as having "apologised unreservedly". I thought his apology was anything but "unreserved". Give it to him, Mario!

Bernie's comments just highlight the low intelligence and understanding of the people running F1.

mrkjf - Every fan who reads this has NOT heard worse "down the pub" and laughed! Your effort to make Mr. Ecclestone's remarks sound "normal" dosn't make him sound like "one of us", I just makes you sound like him. Anti semitism must not be tollerated by anyone anywhere.PARTICULARLY those in the public eye, who, even as you and your mates, may think it, SHOULDN'T SAY IT! Racing comes second to racism.

What you say at your local pub with your pals, as an everyday joe, and what you say to the international media as the leader of a world wide corporation with world wide sponsors and countries involved, is not quite the same. "Sorry" may not cut it, especially when you don't really mean it. He is only sorry people got upset. If he wasn't loosing money over it, he'd probably tell everyone to "pack sand".
