Last time Willis left a team mid-season (Honda) they spent 2.5 years in the doldrums
The new teams will be busy poaching talent where possible. Can't see Red Bull being a (really) long term opportunity for anyone anyway. They are a drinks company. They will get bored eventually.
Whats d real story behind his retirement frm RBR ??? His he getting heavy offer from another team or he is tired of F1 politics or he wants to goto Himalayas for meditation ????
philtypr I agree

Very strange indeed. Has he done something wrong I wonder. I don't know the guy is he hard to work with? Anyone out there know?
Didn't this happen to him from Honda? Gardening leave time again.
Or did he get a better offer from a 'new' team? See you next year Geoff...
seems a bit strange to loose your technical director, just as your cars are getting race victories. I wonder wich German will take his place, maybe Red Bull are getting ready to use a German engine from BMW, or are VW, Audi going to enter????
