RedBalls, I'm assuming my rant is what provoked your remark, my apologies for that. But I won't apologise for my opinion nor any suggestions I might have, without good reason. I'm more than happy to debate and discuss, but if you just want complain about the comments entered on this site, I think you'd be better off starting somewhere else.

If only the Fantasy League F1 site could be expanded to managing the entire sport and not just a team, then perhaps we'd be spared everyone's rants about how much better F1 would be if they were in charge.

Mr Davies, to pick up on your last point: Why do we need a big team doing well to keep the season interesting? Some competition helps, certainly, but who cares if it's between big teams or small teams? Not me! Your observations regarding KERS: Max seems to have certainly mucked it up! The current rules are too half-assed to make it worth developing these expensive systems. And if the FIA follow up with their idea of making kers a standard (the same contractor made unit supplied to all the teams) system, then what's the flipping point?! The whole idea of kers was to get the teams spending their budgets developing something more useful to the world than aerodynamic tweaks! Instead of freezing engine design, they should freeze aero design and give the manufactuers a totally free hand with power. Whether it be 8 litre V16s or sails, the teams should be able to develop whatever they want, but of course, have an ever more restrictive limit on fossil fuels. Maybe I ought to give Max a call. Has anyone got his number?

ok, can we have an actual preview, and not another editorial about how much Davies hates Mosley and Ecclestone? Don't get me wrong, I agree with him there, but there's a total of about one paragraph about the race, and the rest is basically his regular column re-stated.

Good point AD - with a blanket testing ban, the current points system over-rewarding consistency and the bullet-proof reliability of the modern Grand Prix car (apart from the Ferraris) every season could be like this, with half the field planning for next season from round 6 or 7 and the other half racing for this one and then losing out in the next. The order would change every year too. There's your two-tier system Max, you idiot!

The testing ban is a complete nonsense. There's very little chance now to overhaul the leading teams.

Even if it rains; will that reduce the competitivness of Brawn/Red Bull? It won't help Ferrari
