Hamilton: Real positive day

Lewis Hamilton expects McLaren's rivals will fight back in qualifying after the Brit claimed the double in Friday's Hungarian practices.

Putting his MP4-27's updates to great use, Hamilton set the pace in the dry in FP1, posting a 1:22.821 to beat his team-mate Jenson Button by 0.101s.

The afternoon's session saw more of the same as Hamilton again set the pace, this time with a 1:21.995, which was almost two-tenths quicker than his nearest rival, Kimi Raikkonen.

But while claiming the double was a good reason to smile on Friday evening, Hamilton has urged his McLaren team to "keep pushing" as their rivals won't give up.

"It's been a real positive day for me, I'm very happy," said the 27-year-old.

"We made some good changes to the car to get it dialled in, and we're on the right path, but we've still got some work to do.

"The Red Bull looks very quick, so does the Lotus, and obviously the Ferrari as well. So we're by no means feeling comfortable, we're going to keep pushing."

Hamilton was also quick to point out that being quickest in Friday's practices doesn't count for much in the greater scheme of the weekend.

"I feel good in the car but practice is completely different to qualifying.

"Tomorrow when we get into qualifying I have no doubts that Fernando (Alonso) will all of a sudden find half a second and the Red Bulls will have of a sudden find a chunk of time."

But, he added: "I think we're not in a bad position."
