Buemi handed grid penalty

Sebastien Buemi will drop five spots below his qualifying place at the Hungarian Grand Prix after he was slapped with a post-race penalty.

The Toro Rosso driver was hit with a five-place grid penalty by the race stewards for causing a collision with Nick Heidfeld at Sunday's German Grand Prix.

Buemi, who started the race at the back of the grid after it was found that the fuel in his car did not comply with regulations, was making his way through the field when he made contact with the Renault driver at Turn 10 on Lap 12.

Heidfeld was looking to pass the Toro Rosso on the outside, but Buemi failed to look in his right mirror and cut across him to take the racing line. They made contact and Heidfeld was sent into the gravel and into retirement while Buemi was able to continue.

The Swiss driver finished P15, but the stewards punished him post-race with a five-place grid penalty.
