It remains to be seen when and where the 2012 Young Driver Test will take place after concerns were raised over the initial date that was pencilled in.
The 2010 and 2011 three-day session took place at the Yas Marina Circuit and it was initially anticipated that the venue would also host this year's test the week following the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 2.
However, there are fears that the burden on the teams will be too big as it would mean they would go without a proper break for five weeks in a row as the India and Abu Dhabi are held on back-to-back weekends while the United States GP will take place on November 16.
There have been suggestions that the test could be shifted to Silverstone for the week after the British GP on July 6.
Yas Marina Circuit boss Richard Cregan says they are keen to host the event, but he understands the concerns from the teams.
"Whether they have the tests here in Abu Dhabi is a decision the teams themselves would need to make," he told the UAE's National.
"We have made provisions and blocked out the week after our race, but they have the freedom to change that.
"It's a long season as it is and there are a lot of back-to-back races this year, so it's tough for them. We would obviously be disappointed if Abu Dhabi didn't host the young drivers' test because it has become a part of our season, but I can understand the teams' concerns."
