'Grosjean has learnt from ban'

Lotus team boss Eric Boullier believes Romain Grosjean's one-race ban has had the desired effect in teaching the Frenchman a lesson.

Grosjean was banned for one grand prix by the Belgian GP stewards after causing first corner carnage at Spa that took out two Championship contenders.

As such the 26-year-old had to watch from the sidelines as Jerome D'Ambrosio raced his race at the Italian GP.

The good news, though, is Boullier believes the punishment has done Grosjean some good.

"We have spoken a lot about it," the team boss told Autosport.

"And definitely in some way it was best for him.

"He is going to keep the same speed when he comes back, and I think he will stronger.

"He will be even more confident in himself and, having discussed and fixed these issues, he will be better."
