Lucas di Grassi will partner Timo Glock at Virgin Racing in 2010.
The announcement was made as the Sheffield-based outfit confirmed they would be relabeling themselves as Virgin Racing, having initially entered the F1 scene as Manor GP.
Di Grassi is not a complete stranger to Formula One, having filled the role of Renault test driver since halfway through the 2009 season when Romain Grosjean was promoted to a race seat.
The Brazilian has been a part of Renault's young driver programme since 2004 and has spent the past four season's in the GP2 series, finishing in the top three on three occasions.
The 25-year-old will join Glock who signed with the team from the now-dismantled Toyota outfit.
