Bianchi to test for Force India

Force India hopeful Jules Bianchi will be in action at Jerez this week although that doesn't mean he's secured their second seat.

Bianchi, who was Force India's 2012 third and reserve driver, is keen to make the step up to race driver this season.

The Frenchman is just one of the candidates to partner Paul di Resta with Force India refusing to name their second driver at last week's launch of the VJM06.

Bianchi, though, may have the edge over his rivals as he will be in action on Friday's final day at Jerez.

Force India said in a statement: "The final day of running on Friday will see Jules Bianchi behind the wheel of the VJM06.

"Having spent 2012 as the team's third driver, Jules will be able to provide the team's engineers with further comparison feedback between last year's car and the VJM06."

Regular driver di Resta will have the car to himself on Tuesday's opening before sharing the duties with test driver James Rossiter on Wednesday and Thursday.
