Marko hopeful of Red Bull progress

Helmut Marko, Red Bull's team advisor, is confident that the reigning Constructors' Champions will be able to get their RB10 car up to speed in time for the new Formula One season.

Red Bull managed only 21 laps during last week's testing session in Jerez, where Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo suffered with power and overheating issues throughout.

In an interview with German publication Auto Bild magazine, Marko admitted that there remains a lot of work for the likes of chief designer Adrian Newey on the RB10.

"Adrian's concept is good in principle - I think our car is very elegant and beautiful cars are usually also fast," Marko said.

"We need to re-design certain things. It's annoying but in 2010 we did also not test in the first week."

Vettel went on to win the title in 2010 despite Red Bull's slow start, but the problems with this year's car seems more serious and Auto Bild even quoted Newey as saying that he had "no idea" if the problems with the 2014 car could be solved.
