Mallya: Battle for fifth will remain tight

Force India team principal Vijay Mallya believes the battle for fifth place in the Constructors' Championship will go down to the wire.

The Silverstone squad are currently sixth place in the standings, but they are just two points behind fifth-placed McLaren with still seven races to go.

It has been a pretty even battle between the two teams so far and Mallya believes the race will continue to be tight until the season finale in Abu Dhabi.

"We're now sixth in the standings and coming away from Spa with five points was a good exercise in damage limitation," he told the official Force India website.

"It means we are only two points away from fifth place with all to play for in the coming races. With the double points in Abu Dhabi, too, the battle is likely to remain open for us until the final race."
