Maldonado 'will' continue in F1

Maldonado 'will' continue in F1

Pastor Maldonado believes he will be in F1 next season despite his own manager trying to get Felipe Massa into his Williams race-seat.

With both Maldonado and Massa managed by Nicolas Todt, the Frenchman is in talks with Williams about both his drivers.

But while the Venezuelan is looking to be retained, Massa is keen to replace him.

For now, though, nothing has been decided with Maldonado adamant he wishes Massa, who is leaving Ferrari at the end of this season, all the best.

"For sure, the season has been quite hard for myself and the team," he told reporters.

"Next year I have a contract with the team... at the moment I have not taken any decision. We'll see in the next couple of races.

"Felipe is a very good friend of mine. I wish him all the best and to continue in Formula One.

"We have the same manager. He is looking for a place in Formula One. That's it."

He added: "For sure, I will continue. I don't know if it is here in Williams or somewhere else."
