Di Resta excluded from qualifying

Paul di Resta will line up at the very back of the British GP grid after his Force India was found to be below the minimum weight.

The Scot has qualified fifth for his home grand prix, however, in post-qualifying inspection the car was found to be under weight.

The rules state that the car together with the driver must weigh 642kg or more but di Resta and his VJM only came in at 640kgs once the mandatory fuel sample was drained from the car.

As a result of the infringement the Force India driver was excluded from qualifying, putting him at the very back of the British GP grid.
