Paul di Resta is starting to feel the heat over his seat for next year after yet another bad weekend, according to a report.

Telegraph Sport claims the Scot is "sweating to keep his seat at Force India" following a fifth consecutive retirement and the new minimum weight limit for drivers and cars is also not helping him.

Di Resta has now gone six races without scoring a point after he crashed into the barriers in Korea on Sunday, and it has naturally put pressure on him with Force India yet to confirm him for next season.

Also of concern for Di Resta is the fact that taller and heavier drivers will be at a disadvantage next year over the weight restrictions and this could force some teams to look to smaller drivers.

However, there is good news for him as the squad's deputy team principal Bob Fernley says they won't make a decision on his recent performances alone.

"This is our third season with Paul; we've had two and a half seasons of fantastic effort from him, so we wouldn't judge somebody over two or three races," Fernley told Sky Sports. "It's not my decision at the end of the day, it's a decision for [team principal] Vijay [Mallya] and the shareholders."
