Vergne not satisfied with sixth

Jean-Eric Vergne completed his first best qualifying position of the season, his first back-to-back points finish and his best finish of the year in Canada, yet the Toro Rosso driver is striving for more.

After securing an eighth-place finish in Monaco a fortnight ago, the Frenchman qualified seventh in Montreal and then claimed sixth spot on Sunday.

The eight points helped him to move ahead of his team-mate Daniel Ricciardo in the standings, but Vergne is hoping there is more to come in the next few races.

"Sixth is really good result, but I already forget it and I concentrate on the next race," he told BBC Sport.

"I don't have to be satisfied with sixth, we always want better and I want to do better for the next races and that's why we have to keep working."
