Pic's future in doubt

Charles Pic admits he does not know whether his Formula One career will extend beyond this weekend's Brazilian GP.

Having joined Caterham for his second season in Formula One, Pic would be the best of the backmarkers if it weren't for Jules Bianchi's P13 in Malaysia.

Instead the Frenchman is second in that battle with two P14s to his name, Malaysia and Korea.

However, whether that will be enough to see him remain in F1 next season with Caterham has yet to be decided.

"For next year, the logic for me would be to stay in Caterham but it's not sure," said Pic.

"I think there are still many seats available for next year, so we will see."

And with Heikki Kovalainen linked to his season, Pic faces the prospect of his F1 career ending after just two years.

"It's like that every year," he said. "In the end, I don't think anything's changed a lot.

"We try to focus on the races we have and give our best this weekend, try to get a good result for the team and then we'll see what happens for next year."
