The HRT team are upbeat that they will be able to take to the Circuit de Catalunya this week for the final pre-season test.
The Spanish squad and Marussia are the only teams who are yet to launch their 2012 challengers.
However, while Marussia will head to the season-opening race in Australia without completing a single lap in testing after their new car failed its final mandatory crash test, HRT are hopeful that the F112 will do a couple of laps in Barcelona on Sunday.
"We are working 24/7 to have everything ready for the tests," HRT sources told Crash.net.
"We want to get to Barcelona as soon as possible and get some mileage on the new car but when that will be is not confirmed yet. We think that, if everything works well, we can get there on Saturday to test on Sunday."
