Engine-change penalty for Pic

Charles Pic is set to become the first driver to receive an engine-change penalty this season as he moves onto his ninth.

Under the Formula One regulations, all drivers have eight engines at their disposal for the season and should they require a ninth it will be an automatic 10-place grid penalty.

As such Pic is set to start Sunday's Korean Grand Prix from the very back of the grid after team boss John Booth revealed that the Frenchman will be getting his ninth engine ahead of Saturday's final practice.

"It is also appropriate at this stage to say that we plan to fit a new engine to Charles' car this evening in the knowledge that, as his ninth engine of the season, we will incur a 10-place grid penalty on Sunday," said Booth.
