Silverstone confirms YDT dates

Silverstone confirms YDT dates

Silverstone has confirmed that this year's Young Driver Test will be held at the British track from July 17-19.

Last season there were three Young Driver Tests after the teams failed to agree on one venue.

The first was at Silverstone in the wake of the British GP while the second took place at Magny-Cours and the third later in the season at the Abu Dhabi circuit.

Silverstone will once again be on the schedule this season with teams expected to head there in a week after the German Grand Prix.

The line-up has yet to be confirmed although one can expect most teams to run their test drivers as it is only open to those with two or less grand prix starts.

Four of this year's rookies; Jules Bianchi, Valtteri Bottas, Estaban Gutierrez and Max Chilton; all gained F1 experience in previous Young Driver Tests.
