Ferrari not in a hurry over 2014 line-up

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo insists "there's no hurry" over talks about the team's 2014 driver line-up.

Barely a day after team principal Stefano Domenicali assured Felipe Massa that they "have a lot of confidence" in him, Di Montezemolo also gave his backing to the Brazilian.

Massa is under pressure to deliver as his contract with the Scuderia runs out at the end of the season and the team have been linked with a possible move for Nico Hulkenberg in recent weeks.

While Fernando Alonso finds himself second in the Drivers' Championship with 123 points on the back of two race victories, Massa has picked up only 57 points and one podium.

However, Di Montezemolo revealed that the veteran still has the squad's full support and says they are not in a hurry to make a decision over their 2014 driver line-up.

"Felipe is fully aware he can count on our total confidence in him," Di Montezemolo told the team's official website.

"I hope he will soon secure the results that will show his talent to the full, such as the great starts he pulled off at the last two grands prix.

"The future? We will talk about that further down the line as there's no hurry."
