Sauber's financial woes appear to be far from over with reports claiming their contracts with three Russian companies are yet to be finalised.
Just weeks after team owner Peter Sauber and team principal Monisha Kaltenborn admitted they are struggling, the Hinwil squad announced they had signed several major partnerships with three Russian companies, which will secure their long-term future.
However, nearly a month later and the contracts are far from done and dusted as Russian president Vladimir Putin is one of several people who are yet to sign off the deal.
According to Germany's Bild, there are also problems with the deal with the National Institute of Aviation Technologies as their board voted against the rescue package.
Even though Kaltenborn has insisted hey were never "too depressed or disturbed by what was being written" and they were confident they "can survive", the team are still facing uphill battles.
There are reports claiming that drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Esteban Gutierrez are yet to be paid while engine supplier Ferrari and Pirelli are also still awaiting payment.
