Two McLaren employees killed

Two McLaren employees were killed close to the Formula One outfit's Woking factory, the team announced.

The unnamed duo collided with a transit van on the A320 while travelling in a Subaru Impreza.

According to reports, the two were employed at the McLaren Production Centre in its sports car division, which is situated next to the Formula One factory.

"We have been informed that we have sadly lost two hard working and extremely well-liked employees," McLaren Automotive Chief executive officer Mike Flewitt told the media.

"They will be sorely missed by their friends and colleagues and our heartfelt condolences go out to their families."
