Bottas: FRIC ban won't be key

Although Valtteri Bottas believes Mercedes could bear the brunt of a FRIC ban, he doubts it have a big impact on the pecking order.

Earlier this week it emerged that the FIA could ban the Front-and-Rear Interconnected Suspension (FRIC) systems ahead of next weekend's German GP as they say it contravenes Article 3.15 of F1's Technical Regulations.

This has raised some concerns up and down the paddock although most drivers believe Mercedes will be more affected the others should the ban come into effect.

Asked where the "the team in front" could be hurt the most, Bottas told ESPN: Yes! Maybe some teams could be more affected than us, I would say."

But don't expect a major upheaval in the pecking order.

He added: "For some teams yes [it is an issue] but not for some others. We will see, I don't really know what is going to happen, we will see.

"Whatever the decision is we will be OK with it, I don't think it's going to be the key for the season or anything like that."
