Ricciardo expecting 'hungrier' Vettel

Daniel Ricciardo believes we will see a different Sebastian Vettel at Germany next weekend.

The defending World Champion has had a difficult campaign to date with Red Bull not up to scratch to challenge Mercedes, but he did show glimpses of what he is capable of at Silverstone as he started P2 and then finished fifth.

With his home race at the Hockenheimring up next, Ricciardo expects the German to pull off something special.

"I don't know if the word is improve or get better because he is already very good, but I'm sure his form - if people are calling it that - is going to come, or it has come," he told Sky Sports News.

"So Germany I'm sure he's going to be really hungry to show his home that he's ready to take it on.

"For me it's just trying to improve, keep doing what I'm doing. Obviously I'm excited if there is a bit more in him because I think that'll bring out a bit more in both of us.

"So let's see. I know Germany he will be hungrier than ever so it should be a good battle on our hands."
