Not The F1 News: Keep Calm

The latest stories not making the news around the other websites, including Red Bull's movie and new wardrobe...

Red Bull - The Movie
The FIA have revealed that following the Bahrain test, the Red Bull team approached them to see if they could have the number of 'filming days' increased

Currently teams are allowed to run 100kms on control tyres on a 'filming day' in order to gather footage for promotional purposes.

A spokesman for the FIA said that although they were sympathetic to increasing the number of days available, they would have to reach agreement from all the team to increase them. And they felt it was unlikely that teams would agree to another twenty-seven...

Keep Calm!
In the wake of a less-than-successful testing session at Bahrain, the Red Bull team are hard at work to ensure that the troublesome RB10 is on the pace in Melbourne.

The new car refused to turn a single lap on the penultimate day of testing, and although Sebastian Vettel managed 77 laps on the final day, he was ninth fastest, four seconds off Lewis Hamilton's fastest lap and the car has yet to run a race distance.

To help matters along, Christian Horner has bought everyone at the Red Bull factory a T-shirt to improve staff morale. Based on the classic wartime poster it reads KEEP CALM and TRUST ADRIAN.

Many people are already questioning why Horner should be placing such faith in Sauber's Adrian Sutil.

And In Addition To The Pole Trophy...
Bernie Ecclestone has revealed that along with the new Pole Trophy, given to the driver with the most pole positions in 2014, there will be another NEW trophy awarded.

Domestic appliance manufacturer Kenwood, have put up money for an end of season award. The Kenwood Award will go to the 'fastest toaster on four wheels'. Pundits predict it will be the only trophy that Lotus wins this year.

(People have also pointed out there's a handy little toast rack at the front of the E22 which may sway the judges)
