Relax - those TMW points are in the bag

Because in F1 the first person you have to beat is your team-mate..

Red Bull Racing
Race: Vettel
Season: Sebastian Vettel 7 - Mark Webber 1
Vettel edged Webber in qualifying, something he doesn't do often at Silverstone. He got a far better start and was heading for a strong result when his gears decided they'd had enough.

McLaren
Race: Button
Season: Jenson Button 5 - Sergio Perez 3
Button was marginally in front of Perez when Checo's second tyre of the weekend let go.

Mercedes
Race: Hamilton
Season: Lewis Hamilton 5 - Nico Rosberg 3
As with Vettel, Hamilton qualified better than his team-mate, got a far better start, but an element on the car let him down.

Ferrari
Race: Massa
Season: Fernando Alonso 6 - Felipe Massa 2
Massa put in the start of the season to claim 5th (from 11th on the grid) on the opening lap, but the second his tyre exploded it became a recovery drive.

Lotus
Race: Raikkonen
Season: Kimi Raikkonen 7 - Romain Grosjean 1
Grosjean was back to his old bump-and-grind ways at Silverstone after a low-key first half of the season. Raikkonen should have got second but by the time the team realised what everyone else was doing it was too late. It was bad luck more than anything else because Vettel's Safety Car coincided exactly with some of the three-stoppers' final stops, handing them the extra rubber, but robbing the two-stoppers of the time advantage that they had built up.

Force India
Race: DiResta
Season: Paul Di Resta 5 - Adrian Sutil 3
As usual with these two it's hard to split them apart. Paul qualified a brilliant fifth but got put to the back of the grid because his car was underweight. Sutil ran strongly in the race. DiResta would have got higher if he hadn't been struck by a robust Hulkenberg, so given where he started Paul takes it.

Sauber
Race: Hulkenberg
Season: Nico Hulkenberg 7 - Esteban Gutierrez 1
Gutierrez got a rocket of a start but it was Hulkenberg who managed to take a single point for Sauber.

Williams
Race:Maldonado
Season: Maldonado 5 - Bottas 3
Bottas
Maldonado and Bottas were close all through the race, Bottas racing particularly intelligently against Massa who would have been into his sidepods at one stage if Bottas hadn't been watching the mid-apex lunge. Maldonado just edged it.

Torro Rosso
Race: Ricciardo
Season: Daniel Ricciardo 4 - Jean-Eric Vergne 4
Wow. What an advertisement for Danny boy. This and the next two races are going to be absolutely critical to the Toro Rosso boys' careers, because now there's a vacancy at Red Bull. And although the serious money is still on Raikkonen joining his badminton-playing mate, Kimi's managers are tough negotiators and they might not get agreement. Plus he's a miserable sod. In fact the absolute antithesis of Daniel Ricciardo. Red Bull will surely want to tie up any deal before September - probably over the summer break - and so the British, German and Hungarian grands prix are critical to Daniel and JEV's chances.

At Silverstone Ricciardo, qualified well, started well, raced well and finished high up. Jean-Eric lost out in qualifying, even though in the race he produced 'Save of the Day' to keep his car intact on the Hangar Straight. Advantage firmly to DR.

Marussia
Race: Bianchi
Season: Jules Bianchi 8 - Max Chilton 0
Bianchi.

Caterham
Race: Pic
Season: Giedo van der Garde 2 - Charles Pic 6
Pic.

The Kimi is Disappointed File: Talking after the race in an exasperated way about reporters exaggerating the danger s of tyre chunks. "I got a big piece (of tyre) on my forehead, on the helmet. But that's why we use a helmet.""

Talking before the race about if he's going to Red Bull next year or not: "Of course if I know I would tell, then nobody would bother me any more.".

Media Watch
Eddie Jordan: "Kimi doesn't like to be interfered with during the race."
"It's a big task to ask Pirelli to change the environment of the tyre."
Speaking to Christian Horner, he meant to say 'secret' but instead we got : "Let us in on a little treatment here - who's going to be driving for you next year?"

Suzie Perry: To overweight celebrity chef James Martin: "Go and grab a beer and a mars bar - I know what you're like."

David Coulthard:DC was showing his qualities as a future questionmaster of Question of Sport trying to work out the identity of celebs in the Ferrari garage: "Is that Vialli... from football?"
"The rubber gets dialled down into the tarmac."
"You want to feel like you've taken everything out of your opportunity."

Gary Anderson: The BBC's technical expert Gary Anderson is a man with an impressive girth. He doesn't see this old cliché as a question of which came first, more like a mixed grill: "It's a chicken and egg situation and you have to decide which one you want first."
