'Fry to leave Mercedes'

'Fry to leave Mercedes'

Nick Fry will reportedly leaves Mercedes at the end of this month with executive director Toto Wolff taking over his duties.

Wolff arrived at Mercedes from Williams during the off-season, taking the role of Mercedes motorsport director as well as executive director of the Formula One outfit.

The Austrian's arrival was just one change in the management reshuffle at Mercedes, the other being the arrival of non-executive chairman Niki Lauda.

However, it was Wolff's arrivals that cast doubt on Fry, who was alongside Ross Brawn during the team's 2009 Championship success, remaining with team.

And it now appears that his job with the team is over.

According to the Guardian, 'Nick Fry will leave his position as CEO of Mercedes at the end of the month and be replaced by Toto Wolff, the executive director.'

The newspaper added that the 'departure is an amicable one.'
