Horner denies rumoured Renault split

Christian Horner insists Red Bull are committed to Renault despite rumours that the reigning Champs could shop around.

Red Bull's dismal start to this year's Championship has been largely blamed on their Renault engines.

Issues with power, cooling and a reliability have meant the reigning Champions have failed to challenge Mercedes and in fact have yet to win a single grand prix.

But despite the on-going woes, Horner says Red Bull will stick with Renault.

"Renault fully understand the predicament they are in," said the team boss. "[Renault CEO] Carlos Ghosn was in Monte Carlo to look and see for himself.

"But there are no ultimatums with Renault other than we want to improve as quick as we can.

"We have enjoyed a great deal of success with them over the years and four World Championships have come with Renault engine and we trust in them to sort their issues out."

Asked if his team could switch engines in 2015, the Brit affirmed Red Bull's commitment to Renault.

"100 percent next year we will be powered by a Renault engine," he said.

"We have a multi-year deal with Renault, but as with any agreement there are always performance criteria associated with that.

"But we are not considering any alternatives at this point in time."
