Horner: Damage limitation at Spa, Monza

Horner: Damage limitation at Spa, Monza

Christian Horner believes it will be "damage limitation" for Red Bull at the next two races with Singapore their next hope of a good result.

After the summer break, Formula One will tackle two high-speed circuits in Spa and Monza.

Both tracks could prove problematic for Red Bull and their under-performing Renault engine.

As such, Horner says Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastian Vettel may have to wait until Singapore to fight for another podium finish.

"You never know, it might be wet in Spa and Monza might put a load more corners in!" the team boss jokingly said.

"But," he added, "Singapore has to be the next golden opportunity for us in reality.

"I think it will be damage limitation in the next two races because Force India will suddenly reappear, Williams will be quick, McLaren will be quick and obviously Mercedes will be quick.

"So we're got to take what we can out of the next two races and then for the flyaways really try and turn things up."
