Sutil: Conviction won't hold me back

Adrian Sutil is confident he will be permitted to travel the globe despite his conviction of grievous bodily harm.

In January 2012, the German driver was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm in an incident involving Lotus co-owner Eric Lux. He was handed a fine and a suspended jail term.

Sutil also lost his job as a Force India driver in the months leading up to the trial.

But despite parting ways with the team, the 30-year-old returned to the fold last week when he tested at the Circuit de Catalunya in a bid to secure the team's second drive.

Force India are expected to make a decision between Sutil and Jules Bianchi in the coming days with the German confident his conviction won't prevent him from doing the job.

"It's all good," he told ESPN. "I tried to get everything done already and last year I informed myself so it's definitely not a problem.

"It's all sorted so it's really about their [Force India's] decision.

"I think they've seen I'm able to drive the car still, so maybe we'll have a decision and we'll go from there."
