Force India will run James Calado along with Adrian Sutil and Paul di Resta at this week's Young Driver Test at Silverstone.
The 24-year-old Calado, who is currently competing in the GP2 Series, will share driving duties with regular racers Sutil and Di Resta over the three days with Force India yet to confirm the final schedule.
Calado has experience in a Formula One car as he conducted a straight-line aero test in the VJM06 before the British Grand Prix at the end of June.
"We are pleased to give James the opportunity to test with us at Silverstone, team principal Vijay Mallya said.
"As a graduate of the Racing Steps Foundation, his talent and determination have brought him to our attention and this is the ideal occasion to evaluate him further. The priority this week is to give the team a better understanding of the new Pirelli tyres due to be introduced next week in Budapest."
