Grosjean: I'm working to change

Romain Grosjean has publicly apologised to Mark Webber after crashing into him at the start of last Sunday's Japanese GP.

Grosjean has been involved in no fewer than eight first lap incidents this season with the carnage he caused in the Belgian GP resulting in a one-race ban.

However, he didn't seem to learn a lesson from the ban as two races later he was crashing into Webber.

The Lotus driver, though, has apologised, revealing that Webber confronted him in his team's garage in the wake of the Suzuka event.

"Mark came to see me, and I completely understand why he was unhappy," Grosjean said. "All I could do was apologise.

"I'm clearly conscious of the risk at the start and I'm working to change quite a lot of things but that doesn't come from one day to another one, there is a process going on.

"I said I was very sorry, I'm not stupid and I'm conscious of the risks.

"Hopefully now it will be a different story and I will not make the same mistake of focusing on the wrong target."

Webber, who joined the 26-year-old in Thursday's FIA press conference for the Korean GP, said the situation was now over.

"Yeah, absolutely," said the Red Bull racer. "I went to see Romain and we had a discussion about it and that was it."
