Kimi to stick with short wheelbase

Kimi Raikkonen will continue to use Lotus' short wheelbase for the remainder of the season as it has a "better feeling."

Although Lotus switched to a longer wheelbased E21 at the Italian Grand Prix, Raikkonen struggled to come to terms with the change.

As such the Finnish driver swapped back to the short wheelbase in Abu Dhabi and was immediately much happier.

And although his race finished in disaster when he crashed out on the opening lap, Raikkonen has revealed he will stick with his preference for his final two races with Lotus.

"It has a better feeling for me and seems to make it easier for me to get more of what I want from the car," he said.

"We've been trying to get rid of understeer to get the car more as I want it and the shorter car helps with this."

Meanwhile, looking ahead to next weekend's grand prix at the Circuit of the Americas, the 2007 World Champ believes Lotus should be in for a good race.

"The car has been feeling pretty good and we've seen some good races this year.

"We won't know how good it is in Austin until we're out on track, but we're certainly pushing for a good result."
