It will be a case of stick to what you know best for Pastor Maldonado this season with the Venezuelan saying he is not ready to change his driving style.
Despite being a favourite with people who like to bet on F1, Maldonado has come in for a lot of criticism since he made his debut for Williams in the 2011 season with many pundits unimpressed with his abrasive style that has resulted in several penalties.
However, the 27-year-old has also proved that he has what it takes to succeed in Formula One as he won the Spanish Grand Prix last year and he feels it is important not to change his successful recipe.
"Yes, I've had run-ins with other drivers, not only now, but in the past," he was quoted saying to Spanish paper Marca, "But I have won in each of the categories in which I have competed and, every time I walk down the hallway in my house and see everything I've achieved with this style, I think I should continue."
After a shocking 2011 campaign, Williams took a big step forward last year with Maldonado winning at Barcelona and the team picking up 76 points.
The Venezuelan feels they will improve even further this season and their shortening odds with bookmakers like Paddy Power seem to agree.
"Every year we are improving and [in 2013] it will be a better car," he added. "It's never easy to give 100 per cent at all times, but it gives me strength to keep going because you can always improve, always give more."
