Teams FRIC-less at Hockenheim

There will be no protests and drama over FRIC at the German Grand Prix after all teams agreed to remove the system.

Build-up to the race at Hockenheim was dominated by talk of protests and possible penalties to those who opt to run the Front-and-Rear Interconnected Suspension (FRIC) systems as the FIA believes it contravenes Article 3.15 of F1's Technical Regulations as it is a moveable part.

Although motorsport's governing body failed to get a unanimous agreement from all 11 outfits to go ahead with the ban, all teams have now agreed not to use it this weekend.

"I can confirm that no car is fitted with a front to rear linked suspension system of any sort," FIA technical delegate Jo Bauer said in a statement.

Most teams have downplayed the loss of FRIC with Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes stating "if everybody's taking it off - I know everyone has it - everyone's got something to lose I guess".
