Kobayashi apologises to team

Kamui Kobayashi has said sorry to his team after a botched pit stop put four team mechanics on the ground.

Coming in on lap 39 for his final stop of the British GP afternoon, the Japanese driver overshot his mark.

His crashed into his mechanics with the front right of the car, knocking down three members as well as his lollipop man.

The crew, though, got back to their feet and changed his tyres, sending him on his way.

There have been no reports of any injuries while Kobayashi went on to finish P11.

"It was my fault," said the Sauber driver. "I overshot the braking.

"I had no practice running in the dry so I did not know how much I could push.

"I pushed too much and I apologise to the team."
