Lotus will not run their double-DRS system at Suzuka this weekend after running it on Friday.

Lotus introduced the device in Germany after rivals Mercedes debuted it at the start of the season. However, the team has yet to master it.

The team ran it during Friday's practices at the Suzuka track but opted overnight to scrap it for the remainder of the weekend.

"It worked a little bit but we are not going to run it," said Kimi Raikkonen.

"Plus we had some other issues during the running so it didn't help again to get the best idea.

"But it is not going to suddenly make us win if it worked 100 percent."

The Finn, who is third in the Drivers' Championship, 45 points behind Fernando Alonso, explained that the device makes setting up the car more difficult.

"It seems to be," he told Autosport.

"I think you have to ask the team, but it started well the first time we tried it, and with all the things that were going on it hasn't been as easy as we had hoped, but we are learning with it."
