'Massa needs a repeat performance'

Ferrari have urged Felipe Massa to follow up on his Belgian GP form with another points-scoring result in Italy.

Massa's job at Ferrari is on the line after a difficult start to his 2012 campaign, which saw the deadline for Ferrari's option on him pass without the Italian stable making use of it.

However, just because they didn't pick up on it that doesn't mean Massa's days are numbered as Domenicali has often said in the past the Brazilian can still secure his future with a solid showing in the second half of the campaign.

And Massa took a step towards that last time out in Belgium when, despite qualifying P14, he raced to fifth place, his second best result of the Championship.

His team boss has now called on him to put him a repeat performance at Monza this weekend.

"I'm very happy for Felipe," Domenicali told the team's website.

"We needed that sort of race from him as a team and he himself needed it as a driver.

"After a very difficult qualifying the day before, in the race he showed a very strong pace.

"We need to see that again, not only in Monza this weekend, but also for the rest of the season."
