Alonso gives Ferrari an eight

Ferrari may not be leading the Championship, but Fernando Alonso has been impressed with the way they performed in the first half of the season.

Alonso has won two races already this campaign, but he is 34 points behind Sebastian Vettel in the Drivers' standings while his Italian outfit are third in the Constructors' Championship.

The Spaniard, though, feels Ferrari have done pretty well during the first nine races of 2013.

"I think it has been good and I think we can give it an eight, a good score," Alonso told Germany's RTL.

"We definitely don't have the quickest car, however, it is a very complete car, so I am pleased with it."

He added: "As for myself, it's not for me to give a number. I've definitely improved a lot since the early years, let's say we are more complete, but there is always room for improvement race by race with experience, with everything."
