Alonso and Button hit out at Grosjean

Romain Grosjean has come in for some stick from Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button following the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Lotus driver, who started P3 and finished sixth at the Hungaroring, was involved in separate incidents on Sunday with Button, Alonso as well as Felipe Massa.

Grosjean wasn't impressed after he was handed a drive-through penalty for the Massa incident, but Alonso welcomed the punishment after he got away with it on the opening lap.

"We thought that the start was the only opportunity because we were not quick enough. We did not maximise the good start we did," the Spaniard said.

"Grosjean was concentrating on only me, maybe he forgot that we are racing 24 [sic. 22] cars. I was happy that he paid penalty after to compensate a little bit for his aggressiveness."

The Frenchman, though, did apologise to Button after they made contact on Lap 24 and he was handed a 20-second penalty by the stewards after the incident.

Button says there was not much he could've done to avoid the accident.

"I'm going to see the stewards about it, but I think it's pretty straightforward - I couldn't go any more left," the McLaren driver said immediately after the race.

"That's it, really. Unless I'm on the grass, which is not where I want to be when I'm braking for a corner, he had no way of not hitting me. I obviously didn't realise how narrow the circuit was at that corner...

"It could have been a lot worse than it was. It could have ended both of our races. I was quite lucky. I think our cars are robust."
