Jenson Button says he's not actively seeking a new team despite McLaren's current woes.

Joining McLaren in 2010, Button may not have won a World title with the Woking team but he has at least been fighting for the honour and race wins prior to this season.

This year, though, has seen a serious slump from McLaren and there is little sign of a revival as the team arrived in Germany following back-to-back races outside the top ten.

Add to that the fact that Red Bull Racing will have a seat available next season when Mark Webber leaves and Button's future with McLaren is now a hot topic.

Asked whether he will definitely be with his current team next season, he told ESPNF1: "Nothing is certain, no..."

The Brit, though, says he is not actively looking elsewhere.

"If this was a team that was consistently finishing fourth or fifth in championship then of course, I would look elsewhere.

"I would look to one of the front running teams to step up to a team where they could give me a race-winning car, but this isn't a team that is finishing four of fifth in the Constructors'.

"This is a bad year and years to come this team will be fighting for World Championships, so I am not looking around like some people might think."
