Button pleased with McLaren revamp

Jenson Button is confident that the recent overhaul at McLaren will bear fruits for the Woking team this season.

Earlier this year, Ron Dennis was appointed as the Group CEO of McLaren and lured Eric Boullier away from Lotus before appointing the Frenchman as the team's Formula One team's new racing director.

Speaking to Autosport, Button revealed that he believes the arrival of Boullier will provide McLaren with some fresh momentum, after falling behind the F1 pace-setters recently.

"I think it's good to have fresh ideas, and I think he [Boullier] does add to the team," Button told Autosport.

"The team will never be changed by one individual, but I think he does add something. And when the management structure is complete we'll be in good shape."

Button admitted that he doesn't have expert knowledge of Boullier's management style, but added that he was impressed with his work at Lotus previously.

"I don't know the way that he works," Button continued.

"Obviously Lotus have had a very interesting and exciting last few years.

"Last year was a very difficult year for the team, with what was going on in the background and it looked like he controlled that issue reasonably well."
