'No reason for drivers to leave'

'No reason for drivers to leave'

Eric Boullier says Lotus' rivals are "wasting their time" if they believe they can sign either Kimi Raikkonen or Romain Grosjean for next season.

With eight podium finishes between the two, Raikkonen and Grosjean have ensured that Lotus are fighting for top positions not only on race days but also in the Championships.

With nine races to go, Raikkonen is fifth in the standings with Grosjean eight while their team is just one point behind McLaren in the battle for second place in the Constructors' Championship.

So it is no wonder that both drivers have caught the eye of rival teams.

However, their team boss Boullier is adamant both drivers will be staying on at Lotus next season.

"I can understand why other teams would be interested!" said the Frenchman. "Both Kimi and Romain are performing very well this season.

"For Kimi, it's like he's never been away. Romain is a natural talent, and improving at a very rapid rate.

"It's great to see the interest from other teams, but to be honest they're probably wasting their time.

"There is no reason for Kimi or Romain to leave and I think they will both enjoy very successful futures with us."
