Kimi 'fully recovered' after shunt

Ferrari have confirmed that Kimi Raikkonen is 100 percent fit for this weekend's German Grand Prix.

The 2007 World Champion was involved in a massive shunt at Silverstone a fortnight ago after he lost control of his F14T and smashed into the armco barrier.

The Finn was taken to the medical centre, but X-rays revealed he suffered only bruising to his ankle and knee with no broken bones.

However, the team decided to withdraw him from last week's Silverstone test with development driver Pedro de la Rosa taking his place behind the wheel of the Ferrari on the Tuesday.

Raikkonen, though, will return to action at Hockenheim on Friday with the Italian squad confirming he has "fully recovered".

Spaniard De la Rosa, meanwhile, is upbeat about Ferrari's chances for the remainder of the season despite their struggles thus far.

"Race by race we are improving and we are not giving up on this year, even if we are also thinking already about 2015," the 43-year-old told the official Ferrari website.
