Glock fit and ready to race

Despite a nasty shunt in Friday's second practice session, Timo Glock has revealed that both he and his car are not badly damaged.

The Marussia driver collided with a tyre wall at some speed on Friday afternoon in China after losing his front wing while breaking at turn one, and there were some fears that Glock may have suffered a nasty injury.

However, the German has confirmed that he only injured his hand and the severity is such that the remainder of his weekend is not in jeopardy.

"There is damage to the car, as you might expect from the impact, but it is mainly cosmetic and the chassis is fine," said Glock.

"A long night for the mechanics I think, so a frustrating outcome all round to an otherwise trouble-free day.

"Personally I am fine. Initially I had some pain in my hand from the steering wheel when I hit the wall but no lasting damage," he added.
