After a trying start to its F1 career, the Circuit of the Americas will make its debut on the F1 calendar in 2012.
A purpose-built track, the COTA is a 5.5km-long motor racing circuit in Travis County, Texas, near Austin.
The track, which has been designed by Herman Tilke, will run anti-clockwise and feature more than twenty turns with an elevation change of 133 feet (41 m).
The stands will hold an estimated 100,000 spectators.
