Sebastian Vettel may have taken the lead in the Drivers' Championship but the Red Bull driver knows the team cannot afford to rest on their laurels if they are to claim the title.
The German's win at Sunday's Korean Grand Prix was his third on the trot, a run which saw him first close the gap to Fernando Alonso and then edge six points ahead of the Spaniard in the battle for the Championship honours.
With four races remaining in the season anything is still possible but with the momentum in their favour, Red Bull will be feeling upbeat about the run in to the end of the season - a period Vettel is relishing.
"I'm looking forward to next couple of races," he said.
"The team have been flat out on the car since Japan and that's what we need.
"We have another step and that is exactly what we need and hopefully we can carry the momentum through to the next races."
"The Championship has gone up and down. We have to focus on ourselves, we need to have our best possible results and we go from there," he added.
"At the end of the year if we have enough points there will be lots of people telling us so we don't have to worry about it ourselves."
Having started second on the grid, the reigning World Champion nicked the lead off team-mate Mark Webber heading into the first corner at the Korea International Circuit and he never looked back, leading for the remainder of the race.
"I'm very pleased. It's fantastic," the 25-year-old said of his performance.
"The foundation was to have a good start. I wasn't sure because I was starting on the dirty side but I had a good launch and managed to get past Mark. But it wasn't over, it's a long way and even in seventh gear I could hear Mark coming."
Tyre wear was a worry for all the teams ahead of the race and Red Bull became more and more concerned that Vettel's front right tyre wouldn't go the distance, constantly urging their man to protect it.
"We were a bit worried about the front wheel because we've seen a lot of people locking up and overshooting the apexes," explained Vettel.
