Rubens Barrichello just about managed to stop Sebastian Vettel from completing the treble at the Chinese Grand Prix.
Vettel started the race in pole position and then claimed Red Bull's maiden grand prix victory, but he had to settle for second place in the fastest lap times behind Barrichello.
With conditions tricky throughout the day due to persistent rain, the lap times were on the slow side and the top four's fastest times were separated by less than four tenths of a second.
Barrichello was fastest with a 1:52.592, but Vettel's best time was just 0.035 slower than that of the Brawn GP driver. Toyota's Timo Glock was third while Vettel's team-mate Mark Webber was fourth.
The biggest surprise was probably Sebastien Bourdais setting the fifth fastest lap of the afternoon in a Toro Rosso.
It was another bad day at the office for Ferrari and McLaren when it came to pace. Heikki Kovalainen's MP4-24 was 11th fastest while the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen only managed a 1:55.396 in 15th place.
